WHEN GOD SPEAKS...

God can communicate with us and speak through us. And He can use anything to do that, a person, a book, a movie, music. Name it. He can and He is capable.

WHILE REVIEWING in BIO11 in a RAINY DAY...

All cells share a common genome that possesses all the genes necessary to make any kind of plant cell.

• Each and every person is like plant cells; and each of us shares a common genome, GOD. Through Him and By Him, we all have all the necessary things we need to live a life that He called us to have. The MERCY He has given. GRACE, the undeserved love, He has given to us. The LOVE, VALUE, SIGNIFICANCE and WORTH, He showed in the cross. And the NEW IDENTITY, that He gave. Through Him, we can live out the life He wants us to live- a righteous and holy life. It is not impossible because WE HAVE HIM IN US. HE MAKES EVERYTHING POSSIBLE.

Mature cells removed from a leaf or root can dedifferentiate in tissue culture and give rise to the diverse cell types of a plant.

• When we mature in our walk with God, it doesn’t mean it is the end. We will always grow deeper and grow mature. And as we grow deeper and mature in our walk, we can dedifferentiate. For me, it means that we PASS THE BATON- we reach out to others mentor them, teach them- then it will give rise to another generation of diverse people who seek God, and will share the word of God. It doesn’t stop on us. There are generations out there to reach out, they may not be the same like us, because we are all made by God in a unique way. JESUS is the one that unites us. REPRODUCE YOURSELF (Sy, 2012) (figuratively).

Gene expression is the regulation of transcription and translation resulting in the production of specific proteins.

• Let GOD regulate, moved and work in your life, then CHANGE happens. Let God be expressed in your life, then CHANGE happens. Let God be shown in your life and it will produce a life that God calls us to live out. And by that life, we can testify. We can be living testimonies just by expressing (communicating with God), transcribing (copying/imitating the life of Jesus), and translating (transformation that comes from God). We just don’t in COPY/IMITATE, BUT we TRANSFORM. He is the one who transforms us.

If all cells in one individual have the same genome, why are there so many different cell types?

• Our link together is JESUS but we are created differently and uniquely by God’s hands. We are called by God differently. Our commonality only is that we are all sinners, and we NEED a SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST. He is our link, the ONE that bonds us all together.

A rainy day for me symbolizes the troubles, challenges, sadness we face in our life. But when we experienced rains, we don’t want to be stuck on it, right? We try to get out of it, we find ways, and we look for solutions. We look for a place to be safe in or to keep us safe.  The same way in our problems, troubles and challenges, we should not sulk on it and dwell on it. We should find ways to resolve it. WE LOOK INTO GOD. Why? Because HE is the one who will keep us safe in all those troubles. He will be the one who will save us from all of those things we face. GOD IS BIGGER AND GREATER than our problems.

God made us uniquely for a specific calling. God calls us in different places and for different functions. And He has assigned us for special functions for He knows where will be effective. He places us in a specific place for He knows that in there we will grow. Each and every person has its own calling. We are called by God differently but we are united by one body, GOD. (1 Cor 12)

"Dream and Reality"

We are happily walking down the town

With your arms wrapped around me and your hand interlocked with mine

You made me feel so special as if I'm a princess in my gown

Now I'm full of emotions that even I can't define

As we continuously walk, we talk about our future together

And I can't help but think that it is a "happily ever after"

All I want is to spend the rest of my life with you

Until we grew old and enjoy a beautiful, wonderful sunset view

Unexpectedly, we passed by her

The one you love for four years, your ultimate lover

Envy and jealousy took after

I thought, "Hey I'm so much better"

A wall was suddenly built around my heart

As problems and complications start to arise

More and more I felt that we're apart

While hoping that no one will say their goodbyes

A warm breeze follow after the cold season was over

And I'm so happy like a kid watching Chowder

Many things will come forth and we are not certain what would happen then

But in my mind, I'm just so relieved hoping that it would never happen again

I guess, I'm way getting ahead of myself

Thinking that our story would make it to the shelf

We broke up, yep, that's the fact

Because both of us wanted to go back

Go back where? You might ask.

The One who made us, to be exact

HE wanted both of us to come back to Him

And I'm so happy that we really did

At first it was hard, and t'was definitely sad

But He never fails to comfort me that makes me so glad

He didn't end there, and that's for sure brad

Ooooh, I'm overjoyed He is my DAD.

*This is based on my dream and a part of my story.

SAVED!

My eyes, clouded with tears.
My heart, filled with fears.
Denial, Hatred, and Self-pity.
How worthless I thougt I could be.

Rejection leads to depression
The reason I took some caution
Some are like acting and pretending,
While deep inside, my heart is breaking.

Everything I hold on to, collapsed by a blink
I fell to the ground, and began to sink
I loss everything I used to have
My world crumbled more than in halves

My heart is searching,
it is empty and bleeding.
I kept on living for just one reason
and it is the fear of death alone.

I wanted to go back in time
and undo all the things in my life.
I want to restart, and do it all over,
hoping to make my life better.

I never thought it would be possible,
but through Him it is.
The promise of a new start,
was made real.

The longing I have was made complete.
Non-stop searching, You have fulfilled.
He searched for me and found me.
He reached out to me and saved me.

Excruciating, and agonizing pain that I felt before
You took away all of these and put it in the cross
You died for me, in spite of my sins and flaws
Words can never express my feelings and thoughts

You have shown Your love for me
By Jesus' death and resurrection
The cost that you have paid
For me to be with You forever

The light that You are giving
Will always clear my way
Whatever the enemy is throwing
I know that You will never fail

God, I surrender everything to You
You are my Savior and Deliverer
The Author of my Life, my Creator
You are my one and only Heavenly Father

*May 19, sobrang overflow lang siya ng maisulat ko ito. It was shocking because I know for a fact that I'm not a writer nor write poems. Super amazing because God was the one giving all the words. He is the one who enabled me to write this poem. It has 3 dates cause' I tried polishing it and there it is. I just like to share this to all of you :)

Back to basics

“A teacher would tell us what they know and teach us the basics and the principles that we need to know. But time will eventually came when we had to actually try out our lessons and practice the theories we’ve learned. It can be frightening and frustrating at first, but it’s the only way for us to really learn.”(One2One booklet, some parts are revised)

Nung nabasa ko ito, sobrang napaWOW ako. Sa lahat ng aspect sa buhay ko narebuke ako, katulad ng academics, paglilead, atbp. Parang sa academics (katulad ng CHEM, or MATH), kapag nag-aaral tayo, akala natin minsan sapat na ang mabasa natin at maintindihan natin ang tinuturo ng professor natin. Akala natin sapat na ang maintindihan o makita kung paano icompute or isolve ang mga problem. Pero paano natin malalaman kung natututo talaga tayo kung hindi natin susubukan na magsolve ng problem? Kailangan natin iapply ang mga natutunan natin para malaman natin kung naintindihan ba talaga natin ito. At diba, ang sarap sa pakiramdam at nakakafulfill once na makapagsolve tayo at tama yung sagot natin at malaman natin na tunay na naintindihan natin yung inaral natin.

“There is a need to learn essential principles and truths, where we gather information and receive instruction. But there also comes a time when we must apply what we’ve learned.” (One2One booklet)

BOOM! TUNAY! Hindi pwede na panay “learn” lang tayo, kailangan may “application” din, dun nga natin malalaman if we truly learned something and in the application part naman, we are still learning. Learning is a continuous process. It is always part of our life.

In the same manner with our relationship and walk with Jesus, it is the same.

“We can’t stay in the level of just knowing about God – we must know Him. We can’t just learn what it means to follow Him – we must follow Him. And when we do, we experience a freedom and confidence that comes from having a true relationship with the living God.” (One2One booklet)

“We need to nurture our relationship with Him by knowing Him more through His Word and following His ways every day.” (One2One booklet)

BOOM! BOOM! Sapul! Tagus-tagusan!

Sa pagninilay-nilay ko kanina, napagtanto ko na ang daming mga bagay-bagay na pumukaw sa aking atensyon at kumain sa aking oras na nakaligtaan ko na paminsan-minsan na kausapin Siya; and have my QT. Pero alam niyo what is striking and what makes me so :), it is because He sustained me. Hindi niya ako pinabayaan; He was there, keep on reminding me. Ang sweet lang talaga ni God kase hindi Niya ako pinabayaan na magtuloy-tuloy na ganito.

Naalala ko din yung sinabi ni ate Sabu about our Quiet times. Yes, there will be times na nagiging busy tayo, at nawawalan tayo ng oras to have our Quiet times, but God is good because He sustains us and He has given us the Holy Spirit to teach us all things and remind us of everything that He said (John 14:26) Hindi Niya tayo pababayaan, pero hahayaan ba natin na ganito parati? Like our physical body that needs food and water, all the more, our spiritual body needs sustaining to, and it is His Word. Gusto niyo ba na maging malnourished ang spiritual body ninyo?

Isa pa, paano manunurture ang isang relationship if hindi mo kilala yung karelationship mo? Paano mo inunurture yung relationship, if you don’t have time for your relationship? The same way, we should know Him more and more by reading His word  to nurture our relationship with Jesus and to grow in our relationship with Him. Also, we should spend time with Him and just talk to Him.

“We will only grow in our relationship with Him when we practice what we’re learning about Him.” (One2One booklet)

Reminding and Rebuking me. WOW!

Saka, How can we learn about Him and know Him if we don’t read His Word? Then, if we don’t read His Word, ano iaapply natin sa life natin? Diba?

“Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” (Joshua 1:8)

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Iniisip ko pa nung una bakit ko nga ba babasahin ang One2One booklet, yun pala, God wants to remind me. Nakakakilig lang talaga.

More of YOU, less of me.

The title itself says it all; this blog of mine is not like my other blogs that talks about me, my love life, my rants, and what-I-so-called-before “my complicated life” and all. This time, I dedicate this blog to the Author of my Life, the One who rescued, saved, accepted and loved me for who I am. It’s all about HIM, my Father in Heaven.

You might ask:

“Do I really have to write? Why do I have to write? And, what is my purpose in writing?”

To be honest, I asked those questions to myself as well. I thought about it and prayed about it.

My answer? No, I don’t have to write. It’s neither an obligation nor a responsibility, but I wanted to because I want to share my encounter and my experiences with God and just to share life and encourage other people.

My desire is for the people to see Him working and moving into my life. Not my works, but His works; not my plans, but my Father’s plans for me -- “For I know the plans I have for you, - plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future (Jeremiah 29:11)” [LET’s CLAIM and TAKE HOLD OF THIS PROMISE PEOPLE! =)]; not me, but Him.

I write out of the overflow that He has given me. Overflowing GRACE, Overflowing LOVE, Overflowing BLESSINGS. (LAHAT NA NG OVERFLOW!! YUN na YUN!) Because it is overflowing, I can’t contain it. That’s why I want to share it to you and to other people. :)) God is a generous God; He is a faithful God.
